An important highlight of this Math is the Goushala called 'Amruthadhara' and there are others by the same name at several locations across the State. The present Swamiji has taken an enormous initiative to preserve indigenous cow breeds of the region through its mission called 'Kamadugha'. A few years ago, the Math conducted a Global Conference on Cows called 'Vishwa Gou Sammelana'.

Sri Ramachandrapura Math is located between Hosanagara and Nagara. The importance of this Math as a seat of Hindu religion spreads far & wide, and it owes allegiance to the Sharada Peetha, Sringeri. Situated on the left bank of Sharavathi, the entire place has acquired a serene atmosphere owing to the languid flow of the river Sharavati.

Originally said to have been set up as Sri Raghottama Math, at Ashoke, Gokarna on the Arabian Sea coastline, this religious seat of the Havyaka sect of Brahmins moved to the present location at a later date. Sri Raghaveshawara Bharathi is the 36th guru in an unbroken lineage of pontiffs since Adi Guru Sri Shankaracharya. His efforts at staying relevant to the present times has been noteworthy.

A number of cowsheds or goushalas are spread across the Math premises, where different species of cows from across India are sheltered and protected.

There are over 300 Indian cow breeds that have been brought together at Sri Ramachandrapura Math in a rare collection, including Ton & Krishna Valley from Andhra, Rati from Bikaner, Gir from Gujarat, Jawari from Gulbarga, Devani from Maharashtra, Thar Parker from Rajasthan, and Gidda & Amrutha from the Malnad region.

The conservation of indigenous cow breeds is led by creating cow product manufacturing units, spacious & natural habitats for cows, and round-the-clock veterinary care for every individual cow. There are Ayurvedic doctors to guide people on the usage of cow products as medicine.

Shree Bharathi Gurukula Vishwa Vidyalam is a centre of Vedic learning established by Shree Guruji. It is also located on the banks of Sharavathi.
