Some installations are unique and seem absurd at first sight. This big man buried up to his neck is actually a nice location for a tete-a-tete!

The home stay is owned and operated by one Mr. Udaya Simha, whose friendly nature and deep knowledge of the surroundings bowled me over. He is also an artist and a sculptor whose work can be viewed on the expanse of his farm.

If you suddenly walk into this location, you would wonder for a moment whether a group of aborigines are waiting to meet you!

Simha Farms is a homestay located on the foothills of Kodachadri. It is a convenient place to stay when you are on the other side of Linganamakki Reservoir. About 35 km from Hosanagara, you will come across a unique bus shelter at a place called Madodi. A left turn off the main road passing through plantations of arecanut & cardamom takes you to Simha Farms.

A rhino that you would least expect to meet! If you have done your homework, you will indeed be looking for a sunset or sunrise atop Kodachadri, or to hit the farther reaches of Sharavathi backwaters, or even a drive down to Sigandur or Kollur.
